Weber blue dog 5e3. Jul 17, 2004 · I tried a number of speakers including a Blue but ended up settling on a 50W ceramic Weber Blue Dog in mine. Keep us posted, please! Aug 3, 2001 · His '60 5E3 is incredible and sounds great through the Celestion Blue he has in it. I'v been reading about the Trinity suggested Tone Tubby but also am considering Jensen's and Weber's. Fitted with a factory installed Weber Blue Dog speaker, the tone has the alnico chime, rich breakup, and touch-sensitive qualities for which this premium version of the Celestion Blue is known. The stock Jensen C12N was a piece-o-crap, and had to go. The Blue Dog really complements this amp well. It’s a wonderful speaker that brings out the very best in the amp. Dec 28, 2011 · I recently built a Trinity 5E3 Tweed Deluxe and now I'm trying to figure out what the best speaker to put into it would be. I honestly think that the 5E3 with the Blue Dog is the most versatile amp I've ever owned. Their 12f125 & 150 are great. Mar 16, 2004 · I have a Victoria 20112 Tweed Deluxe that I loaded with a 30 watt Weber AlNiCo Blue Dog. After some research, I put a ceramic blue dog into my classic 30 and I am delighted with the result. The Weber needed broken in but it sounded thinner and more nasel than my Jensen RI. * The Weber Blue Dog - Alnico, 50wts, 8ohms * Eminence Red Fang - Alnico, recently re-rated to 50wts (per Eminence), 8 ohms I tried a blue and a greenback in my 5e3 but ultimately went back to the Weber 12a125a that I originally built the amp with after I tweaked the amps low end a bit. I do run my Champ clone into it and it sound glorious. . We’ve selected the Weber Blue dog as the speaker of choice here to bring out some nice chime and midrange while retaining the tweed era tone. I installed the Bluedog in a Stage Right 15 watt 12” tube combo and right away noticed a more musical, natural tone. I didn't like my Clark as much through the Blue. I preferred my Jensen P12Q reissue over the Weber 12A125. Aug 3, 2018 · Again, I tried a couple different speakers and ended up keeping a ceramic Weber Blue Dog in it for the longest time. The Celestion Blue is supposed to be the ultimate though!! I've got two 5E3 clones, and I have ran them through a 15" Weber Blue Dog. With 14 watts of all tube power, the SA14 is a great choice for the studio, rehearsal, small live venue, or mic’d up on the big stage. Aug 3, 2019 · I've played the amps through the various Blue Dogs and while they're not bad at all, they have too much extended high end and a perceived loose low end for what I want to hear from those particular amps. Mar 17, 2003 · I'm really interested in how this comes out, as well. It lost that 'ready to explode' quality but worked great for a 'Tweed Deluxe when fairly cranked' sound without having to he cranked too much. A taste of what the Blue does but less bright and with less speaker breakup. stevedenver Tele-Afflicted Joined Jul 31, 2003 Posts 1,478 Location the mile high city on top of the merc mag tranny-a great suggestion i strongly suggest the weber blue dog speaker-makes a very nice difference and rca nos tubes-especially the rectifier and nos power tubes 6v6's are not too pricey as well Mar 2, 2017 · Re: Weber ceramic blue dog by grtamp » Fri Mar 03, 2017 2:37 pm I have to replace the speaker in a tweed deluxe 5e3. I would like to know what kind, if any, experiences people here have Feb 16, 2006 · A 30 watt Alnico Blue Dog in my 5E3 sounds great! A perfect speaker for that amp, I couldn't imagine a better match. Jan 18, 2007 · 5e3 I don't like ANY of the Jensens from italy ! The Weber Blue Dog ceramic is my fav. It's bright enough that it gets a great traditional, almost Blackface Fender type tone with lots of sparkle, roll the tone on the amp and the volume on the guitar down and you get the Tweed vibe. A Tweed Deluxe with this speaker sounds so organic, rich, and greasy. It's a 4 ohm though, so not optimum for the Deluxe, but still sounts tantalizing. mzif tbdc pbhw ulskq npvlhfd lmnbl wcecw cwmlzk kspfg sppvm
